I have heard of some talkers having private rooms where people can go and talk in public, but out of the main area. Or could there be a conference PQN where a group can talk? And how about if premium users could have their own private room. Any thoughts on this?
People always tell us if we don't want to see objecti1onable stuff in Qn's then turn them off but it would be good to have family frendly chat.
it'd be nice to have a room to talk about stuff that not everyone wants to talk about, like the 1528 guy.

But that is why they have Ventrillo. What would be cool is to be able to sind quick notes to people who aren't logged in. You know like you can do to your Yahoo buddies or your Msn buddies.
Sounds good but the only bad thing is that all the good things are only for premium members. This is something I think everyone should have. when ever someone suggests something good it ends up being a premium benifit only.
Different channels for QN's would be a good thing so there aren't five or more conversations going on at the same time in the same place

no, I think she's rite about this. I mean, yeah it would be nice to have separate rooms for QN's, but I don't think we should have to pay for it. usually that's what it ends up to be, and...no it's not rite. I mean it's only QN's, but still
what I mean is, what if some people can't pay and they want this feature. what will happen with them. they will be pissed off, that's what.
i like it, i mean we could have the teen room, the elder room, the debate room, the quiet room....i think it will attract more of the quiet zoners here to talk, just because they know exactly what they would be getting

no, I love Beer is right. How do you think things get done around here? from thin air? People, pay, money! so, if you want more features, pay for them. That, or think about the time and band space it takes to create something like what your sugesting. I'm not saying that it isn't a good idea, but their are already two places wher you can go to talk to a certain amount of people. ventrilo (if it is working) and zone by phone. Before you all start on the "but we don't have long distence on our phones", go to the zone by phone page and down load sj phone, and yes, for all you people that don't want to pay for things on here, it's free. There are public chat rooms on their, and, if you want to have a private room, then pay for it. We premiums deserve to get something for contributing.
While I'm on a bitching rant, I will say this. If you want to be able to do what premiums get to do, then pay! for it. I don't kno about any other premiums on here but I'm sick of nonpremiums bitching cause they don't get the privlages that come when you actually help out by paying money! things don't just appear out of nowhere, and you can't just expect! to be able to have access to everything for free either. The world doesn't work like that, and neither does this sight. You get what you pay for, and if you don't pay for it, you don't get it. Okay, so sometimes it's not fare, but before you start bitching about how it's not, take the time to think about how much time! and band space it takes, and that band space is not! free. The zone has to pay for all the space it has. Why do you think they have thoes sponsorship adds at the top of the page? They may be a pain, but if they weren't their, and premiums didn't pay money, their'd be no zone. Then what would you all do?

Man, Liz. This is the second board I've read when you're on a ranting binge. Gripe much, do you? You know, this is called the "suggestion" board. That means we talk about "possible" things that might be nice to have. It's not like this is going to be a reality anytime soon. The admins get to decide it. When I posted this topic, I was just putting my idea on paper. When did this become a rant about money and premiums and sponsers? For the last time, IT WAS JUST AN IDEA! Please stop freaking out over stuff! It's not worth it! Unless you just like to shoot stuff down.
And by the way, not everyone is priveleged enough to pay. I myself am leaving the Zone because I am in extreme financial difficulties and have to disconnect. I'm all for sponsors, and I agree that premiums should get extra-special options, but people sound so greedy when they say "Pay up!" Some of us just can't. You must realize that a good portion of your clientele are free users. If you're so concerned about money, then make this a paying site. But don't be surprised when you lose a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't be on here.

this is the best place i've found so far. i'd hate it if they just kicked us freebies off. that would suck, but I wouldnt have any place to chat online unless i coughed up the money, which would be out of the question right now.

I agree with you Ray. Liz some of us can't afford it. Since Dad died we have to do without. For example I won't be getting the full verssion of Jaws I asked Mom for Christmas. Nor will I get the degitial tv. Rather than complain I told Mom I can wait! We have to do without, but at least we still have our home and our lives! Hurrican Katrina and my dad dieing taught me to be thankful for what I have! God can take it away just like that.

I don't know how simpler it could be explained to you guys is just how life works. You want something you pay for it. You have absolutely no idea what it's like to be poor, do you? Well, 25 dollars buys groceries that I wouldn't have if I paid to come here. Most of you don't realize that not everyone has that much money to begin with. SelenaFan, you have my sympathies. It must be tough to be without your dad. You know, the rest of those who think that 25 dollars is easy to come by, they don't get it. Sometimes, people have to do without. I'm not asking for a handout. I agree with the original idea about private quicknote rooms. I suggested that some time ago. It would be good.
Now about the money i think you are missing the point. I think this site will always have some free features. The premium features will be there to make people to have a reason to pay if they want to. I repeat if they want to. Nobody said you have to pay. If you don't have the money this is very enough and understandable. What is not right is when you ask for premium features to be available for everyone. This is wrong. If you can't pay nobody will akuce you for that. Just live with what is there for you and don't ask for more. In other words be greatful.

To poster 33 if you even bother to say a stupid beer comment, you should first check that I'am not a premium member because honestly the features given for premium are not a big deal to me and don't find it a must have. At the same time I'am glad for some of the free features that are given in this place but I'am not bitching about getting premium features for free like you are.
we should have this feature. but for christ sake let'e not turn this in to a debate. now i'll say it nicer than liz. it will probably be a premium feature. but for real premium is not much i mean 25 bucks a year really isn't much. now i know things are expensive this day and age but come on... and don't even hand me that ssi bit. i have a job. anyway, staying on topic. i'd like to see this feature come about one day. i hope it happens.
Why don't we just flame. When we have no kind of constructive comment let's resort to flaming. Namecalling is such a better way of getting our points across. How freaking stupid. As for the comment that twenty five dollars being too much, it is a one time fee per year. If one does not feel the features warrent paying the fee, simply don't pay the fee. Twenty five dollars can be broken down into a savings of 5 dollars per month, for 5 months which would get one a year of service. Who can not afford 5 dollars a month. If one does not want to wait 5 months, then save 10 dollars a month. That would only take three months. It is about money management. Before you say even that is hard, look at it this way, if one can save one dollar and twenty five cents a week, one would have twenty five dollars in five months. Tell me that is in possible, and I will tell you that you need to take a money management course.

Gee thanks, Nem! That just solves all my problems. I may have said it was hard to save up $25, but what I meant was, I'm not sure if I want to spend that on a website, even one as great as the Zone. I will consider becoming premium when I get on more solid financial standing. Is there any way we can end this debate? It's getting really old and moldy. I think it's a good idea to have rooms to quicknote different people. That's whatyou can do on the phone conferences, isn't it? The only ones you can't get to are the premium ones where you have to pay if you're a premium member.
